The one-of-a-kind and utterly fabulous A'Gusta Wind Follies is in the Fine Arts Center Theater of Western New Mexico University in
Silver City. The show is intended for mature audiences.
Silver
City's A'Gusta Wind Follies is one part burlesque, one part
community talent show and two parts all-around looniness, all leading
to an annual show that is hard to categorize and, sometimes, hard to
describe in polite company.
The
Follies began ten years ago as a small, one-time community event and
has evolved from talent contest and drag show to the professionally
produced and directed show that fills the Fine Arts Center Theatre
today. The show features many of the very talented residents of the
Silver City area and has donated thousands of dollars to local programs
such as the Literacy Link- Leamos, First Born Program, Mimbres Region
Arts Council Youth Mural Project, Casa Mia Ranch, El Refugio and the
Herb McGrath drama scholarship fund.
